Years back, when they were both sill open, we would always alternate between the two to try to spread our $$ around. And we would gas up at Phoenix store to help them keep the place going.Cliff view is open, vansville closed so no gas there need to go the phoenix store
old school homey feeling was part of the draw of Cliff View back in the day, liked the old school feel of the place and the old and historical decor. sometimes fancy dancy can ruin a place one was used to for years. Same goes for Vansville the rustic feel was part of the draw there. Hate it when people try to reinvent the wheel, sometimes ends up in ruinas of last 2 seasons Vansville is still closed, added a gate just off the trail so could not go take a peak at what it looked like. almost rode the road from cliff view but did not. Cliff View is under new ownership and has taken a different atmosphere such as fancy drinks and no more foot longs at that time. curious to what I find this year.
Always loved stopping at the Cliff View up until that past summer. We were up there riding our side by sides and stopped in. The bartender looked at us like why are you here. The place has become too "fancy" is how I'm going to state it. A lot of people in there were drinking wine at the time. I asked for a Captain Morgan and they had a "house" rum that was supposed to be similar. They didn't make bloody Mary's. Didn't have name brand name whiskeys at the time. Didn't have foot longs. I asked if they could make an ice water. Needless to say, we left. I don't think that place will be in business much longer. That's just my opinion.as of last 2 seasons Vansville is still closed, added a gate just off the trail so could not go take a peak at what it looked like. almost rode the road from cliff view but did not. That's very sad to hear. Seems that happens too often anymore.Always loved stopping at the Cliff View up until that past summer. We were up there riding our side by sides and stopped in. Yup, I agree, as the last time we were at Fitzgeralds, was just that, not for us, and the last time!I believe it’s owned by the same people as Fitzgeralds. I was there last October and was disappointed in the change. way too fancy for me, but I don’t like change much. This is a complete make over. Not at all for the average snowmobile or off road crowd. If you like high end fancy type, you will like it. Bartender was very nice, and my coors lt was cold (they call that lawnmower beer) but just not for me. We had one and moved on. Vansville looked like they had a lot of remodeling going on, but our bartender said he knew nothing about it. I hope vansville has good progress, the area needs a good stop in that area.
