Vector with power steering

So went on the hunt last year for an additional sled for the first time in years. Ended up with a 2009 Yami Vector. Overall liked the sled but definitely on the heavy side as was advised. Looking to pick up another sled this year and looking at everything from a Polaris 600, to Ski Doo's and another Vector with power steering. Something in the $4000 to $6000 price range. Just curious if the Vector with power steering would still drive heavy or would it drive significantly "lighter" with the power steering? With no real snow at this point, very difficult to test drive much.

Thanks as always.

I never rode a Vector with EPS but did put a number of miles on an Apex when EPS first came out...worth the $$$ for trail riders IMHO

Had both Apex and Vector with power steering, both felt 100 pounds lighter in the front end.

Barn of Parts (and possibly others) offer what they call "mechanical power steering", which is essentially an aftermarket leverage kit I believe. I have no experience, but have read positive reviews. Check out the www.ty4stroke.com forum.

Weight is weight however eps does make steering easier. Mps from Travis is ok but will limit your turning radius just physics of the design. Vector is a nice sit in sled once you purchase a rider forward sled the riding experience changes all around no matter 2s or 4s. Nothing wrong with vector and eps is nice but really old chassis tech compared to all others.

I have 2 vectors 2014 and 2015 with the eps and works well in the twistys and no sore arms or shoulders at the end of the day. Their design I can best describe as a rider forward sit down sled. Very comfortable and my wife who is south of 120 lbs. can handle it with no problem.
