Work on short box?

Do you think it would work on a 5 foot box with a 136" track? Engine should be enough counter weight to hold the front down.

I had a couple of guys try it on Ford Rangers..but I never heard back from them. You may have to make the ramp a bit shorter although having the ramp portion hang out the back a bit won't hurt anything. If you have a 5 foot bed and the tailgate is down the ramp will only hang out a foot or a foot and a half which is no big deal. The longer the ramp the easier it is to load. If you make the ramp shorter it increases the angle and it can be more difficult to load it. If you get the angle too steep it will "push" the ramp when you try to load it.

Other ramps

Looked at the other ramps on youtube, your is so much more practicle and easy, to use and make. Looks alot safer after a couple of trail pops late at night heading home. How about the (redneck) trying to jump it in.
Going to bulid mine this week on a short box, will still use the full 8 foot sheets.

Thanks...I just give the basic design. In fact, I just picked up a crew cab truck and now I have to take a look at my ramp and see if my currect version will fit in the back. if not, I'll have to modify it a bit. I guess I could just make the underneath frame 4 feet wide so it could slide in the back of any truck. I will llso probably still keep the 8 foot length.
