St. Germain - Sayner - Star Lake - Conover - Eagle River
We had a great Sunday ride. Our first stop was at the Sayner Pub where we had an excellent Sunday Bloody Mary followed by lunch at Stillwaters on Little Star Lake, a stop at Bauer's Dam Resort on Lower Buckatabon Lake and finally a beer with Tony at Bib's Resort on Little St. Germain Lake. All of the trails were in very great shape and some excellent. The lakes were a comfortable 30mph. The trails were so good that we were lulled into riding faster and faster until reminded to slow down by bottoming out on a rogue bump. Then on Monday morning we had white knuckle roads from St. Germain to Wausau then over to Green Bay. Lots of cars parking in the snowy medians (no injuries). 2 semis had to be towed in the Shell parking lot near Shawano. The slush even got a professional big rig operator. My wife told me she saw the driver digging with a shovel - I laughed so hard knowing there was no way he could get out without a massive tow truck.
