Spent 4 days up there, and all I did was clean the deck and shovel the driveway. Don't need any more snow! Period.
Deer walking in woods, snow is up to their bellies. Trails are great

Very late start to winter but the weather is sure coming on strong! So good to hear. I hope the local businesses are feeling relief from increased traffic...and please...nobody complain about too much snow...

Mods, please delete this thread. There is a lot of foul language. :friendly_wink:

Be nice to anyone and everyone who serves you when you visit even if you have to fake it like they do day in and day out.:greedy_dollars:

And you plan to retire here? Lol. Simplify your snow removal. I have 2s blower on lakeside deck, 2 electric leaf blowers 1 front porch and 1 north balcony, east balcony home for snow shovel also access to direct tv satilite so can keep that snowless. Pay plow guy to plow driveway and big Mtd 4s snowblower for access to wood pile and trailer. Yes keeps you busy when not riding but also keeps me in shape. Lol

I was supposed to go visit my parents this past weekend in the Green Bay area, but postponed the trip until this upcoming weekend because I couldn't bear the thought of leaving the Keweenaw to go somewhere with minimal snow, even for a weekend. It's so wonderful to finally see so much of the U.P. & Wisconsin covered in snow; hopefully the temps in the extended forecast hold!

Let it snow! Let it snow!

I would agree, it was quite the perfect conditions.
Yesterday Harski, Harvest, Greg and I backpacked out of Minocqua to Mercer, Hurley, west to Frontier Bar and Saxon Harbor then trail 160 to Ironwood, trail 2 towards Bergland then the lake down to Gogebic lodge and finally east back to Hurley. All trails were excellent and covered with 3-8 inches of fluff and flat underneath.
Today, rode Hurley on the back trails down through Gile, WI, south and then east on the Turtle/Flambeau trail, south into Price County then east to the Lac Du Flambeau casino; again new snow and flat trails; nobody here.
I cut my trip short to head back to Green Bay to help with the 9-12 inch storm on the way. Hope it works out, trails are open in Green Bay again.

Wife wouldn't let me bring snowblower up north. If I wasn't so anal I'd just have them plow it, but don't want driveway scraped up. SUV sat outside for 4 days, so I didn't shovel the entire thing. Eventually will buy a Polaris Razor at Trackside and put a plow on it. Good exercise - no complaints...BUT - we don't need no more SNOW up there.

Let it snow, Let it snow.... I want to ride Vilas till the end (3/31)

Last 3 years season ended 1st weekend of March. March is an awesome month to ride, but need a good snow pack to beat the temps.... Looks like march will happen.

Plow guys don't care - they hit asphalt edges, push huge banks against the log cabin, get too close to septic covers and of course......SCRATCH my 8 thousand doll-a driveway.
Aesthetics are important to me. No apologies.

Neighbor has a Ranger with a plow for the same reason very particular about how his driveway is plowed but haven’t seen him on a snowmobile in years. Too much snow in Phelps for me to remove snow from driveway and plow guy knows the drill. I stake my driveway in critical areas plow guy knows to go easy. Custom Landscaping does mine and I couldn’t be happier with their drivers. There is a learning curve with plow guys so when you find the right one for you should stay with him.
