Spent Thursday-Sunday in St Germain after 10” fell Wednesday into Thursday. Hit most of the western half and central part of Vilas county, did a night ride down to lake tomahawk as well, and rode nothing but excellent trails all weekend. 250 miles this weekend, maybe 10 of them were rough? Outstanding job, hats off to all the clubs! New sled is finally out of break in mode, and it RIPS! The little dude got to do a good amount of driving which was fun to see, he handled the 850 very well, also got to do some solo riding, love how well the sled does both! I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves!

Averaging 18 mpg so far. The woman’s 900 ace is averaging 24 mpg. This weekend, rode with a 99 vmax 500 averaged 8-9 mpg 02 xc 500 7-8 mpg 14 Indy 600 11-12 mpg 22 xc 650 14-15 mpg. Sure was nice only having to fill up every other gas station we stopped at compared to the rest of the group!
Yeah, well, it's easy to see you're becoming infected with the "Doo" disease, eh!;) Thanks for sharing your trip!

Love the 900 Ace, quiet and great gas mileage, 200 miles on a tank compared to my older 2 stroke that got 100 miles to the tank is awesome.

Indy now that you let the little guy drive good luck ever getting to drive again. I spent the 2 years before my boy turned 12 being his passenger way more than ever driving.

Nice pics Indy, looks awesome! What year is the red GSX your gal is riding? My gal is a newbie to the sport and I am looking at getting her something to that effect. I think she would enjoy that model, I know they are a very comfy sled. Nice Ren by the way, looks like you guy had a blast.

So far hasn’t been too bad, we typically ride in tight twisty highly populated areas so I only let him drive when it’s a good time to. He’s usually only good for 5-10 miles before he complains about his thumb, so the 900 ace will be perfect sled for him when he’s 12!

It’s a 14. Can’t be a more perfect sled for a newer rider and/or a female! 500 2 stroke like power, good fuel mileage, quiet, and the best part for females is the electronic throttle. She tried out my new renegade and said she could never ride a sled with a cable throttle again. (She used to have a 15 Indy 600 and always complained about her thumb) I plan on handing this one down to the little man in 2 years and finding her a newer one, preferably a gen 4 900 ace 129”. They’re extremely hard to find though…

Looks like a good time was had by all, trails look awesome, thanks for sharing, also have a Ace 900, unbelievable the gas mileage, also used to have one of those Yamaha 500 Vmax 2 strokes, 8 miles to the gallon on a good day and gulping lots of oil as well, what a difference

Just wait by end of season you won’t even get to touch the handle bars. It is so cool that you are taking the time to teach him the right and wrong of things. On another note depending on his birthday in Michigan if they have their snowmobile safety class they can ride their own sled at 11 1/2 years old just can’t legally cross a road. Was able to do with my son back in the day.

He has a mid December birthday. He must’ve done 50+ laps in the whitetail lodge parking lot LOL I also took him up and down along hwy 70 on the west side of St G (not across though) and we practiced stopping at stop signs.

Great pics. Interesting your 850 is doing that much better on gas than a 22 650. Those old carb sleds are pigs!

850 Doo is a Direct injection fuel system. 650 Poo is a Semi-Direct injection fuel system. Big difference.

holy chit you strayed over to Ski Doo and went from a 30 something man to a 60 YO woman monitoring everyones fill up?....LOL.... Do you have a pen and paper going from pump to pump?

Here is some real numbers. My 13 Indy SP 600 as well as my 15 800 Switchback took on avg the same gallons as the APEX, NYTRO and/or VECTOR that run on the same trips. 15 to 18 mpg depending on temps. ....just saying you might want to check that Indy's comp.,....LOL
