It’s been a while since the trails held up for seemed like weeks on end. 5 trips and 2 major storms while up there. Best trips in many years.

What a great season it was after Mid January. A shoutout to all the clubs who made the trails some of the best I have seen in years for a very long period of time. As of today the trails in the forest are still very good but yesterday was a pretty good start at melting a lot of it away at least around Manitowish area and near road crossings or road trails. Cooler today, but right back up to 50 again for Saturday. Finally starting to see things in the yard that were buried under 3-4ft of record snow this year.

Personally I am ready for the ice to melt and get the piers and boats in, water season is too short in my opinion. Thanks to all the businesses that support the snowmobile industry up here as well.

Hard to top this season for riding up here!

I see you live in MW. Love that area, grandparents had a place on Rest Lake so went there as a kid. It was on a peninsula at the end of Channel Road at the mouth of the channel. Think they sold it for under $200k last I saw it sold for upper $800k several years ago. Great memories as a kid. Have a place now in St Germain which is real nice area as well. Although it’s becoming a little to populated but it’s good. Sorry I jumped topic. Was up 5 times riding this year and your right, Hays off to the clubs that kept the trail fast and flat.

We have a place over on Spider Lake. I know where your grandparents place used to be just before you go into the river from Rest lake. I have been coming up to Manitowish since I was 16, 46 years ago. Beautiful area as you noted, has just about everything including some of the highest property values in the Northwoods. We were fortunate and bought our place in 2014 when the market had hit bottom. The area is very active between Memorial Day and Labor Day, then everyone leaves until next season. it's kind of refreshing when everyone leaves and the quiet returns but you would have to live up like you do to understand that, it's not for everyone.

Its nice to have a place where there is always snow to be able to enjoy winter by getting outside. We will permanently retire here in 4 years and currently share time between MW and Oconomowoc, WI.

St. Germain area is very nice as well. I have been to more places up here (Northern WI and the UP) by snowmobile that it is interesting to visit them in the summer by car and see them in full summer mode when we are not up on the MW chain.

Enjoy the melt and and the summer months, time seems to fly these days and it will be November 2019 before we know it.

The season closed on a sunny day and time to officially usher in Spring. I’m happy the storm cooking for Friday isn’t going to happen. Early Spring dumps just hold back the Northwoods from Spring activities. Still lots of ice and snow to melt in April.
