It wasn't a huge turnout, but it was a really nice ride. At the end we had 12 old sleds. Johnson, John Deere, Yamaha, Cat, Jak Trak, Ski Doo. There was a general agreement to do more of these in the future, maybe even this year yet if the snow stays.

Jon,
This looks like a fun, low key event. Just the name alone sounds like a good time.

Never thought I'd have conflicts with vintage rides (was up in Copper Harbor this weekend). If if doesn't happen this year, you're close enough that I would drive over for a day ride next year if you just decided to take a day, get a few guys together, and do a vintage ride.

Hey Kelly,

It would be great to finally meet you, and what better way than on a Vintage ride. If our snow stays, we may try a ride in mid-March. We didn't have a great turnout that day, but I've had great response since the ride. Lots of interest going forward, even from non-Vintage sledders that just thought it was cool. More pics and a short video on our Facebook page (Poniatowski Dare Devils Snowmobile Club). I'll let you know if we ride again.

Yep, I have no doubt it will get bigger as time goes on and with good reason. They are a lot of fun. I'm just finding that out this year and I love seeing the pics and videos. Agree that a vintage ride is a great setting for meeting new friends (or old friends).

Dang Jon, I have to figure this out how to fit this in by the time the 3rd annual rolls around. This is the same weekend as the Copper Harbor run and the Iron Man is a must attend. Maybe I could hit the Iron Man on Thursday, skip the Saturday show/ride and catch yours on the way back next year.

The ride went about the same as last year. A few new faces and a few gone from last year. I had some issues with my new ('99) Cat early into the ride and had to be towed back. There is just something special about seeing a bunch of old sleds on the trail. John Deere was the majority this year, a couple Yamahas, a few Poos, and a couple Cats. Also had a few newer sleds join the ride this year.

Look for the 3rd Annual ride about the same time next year.:)
