I don't have any clients that I work directly with in the area, but I do have clients that I provide energy usage (heating and cooling) forecasts for and the NE US is a big user of both, so this storm will cause a spike in demand for heat while it is going on.
As far as totals, a general 1-2 feet will fall in much of the eastern 1/2 of NY as well as all of VT and western 1/2 of NH. Some locales will likely see 2-3 feet and I would not be surprised at all to hear of the isolated report of up to 4 feet, especially in the higher terrain of these areas.
