I am wondering the same. We may try and head up from indiana in the morning to rice lake or further north if this storm actually produces. I would just like to know what the conditions of the trails are now and what it would take to make them decent.

I was up at our Cabin on Deer Lake (Northwest of Spooner) this past Saturday for the final weekend of ice fishing, I measured 20" of snow in the woods!! I didn't ride but heard a few sleds riding the Casey loop. Trails looked really nice but snirty by the roads. Talked to a few guys at Uncle Mikes sat. night said trails were awesome in the woods. Of course town, gas stations stuff like that is all bare, but once you get out there its really nice. They were talking 6" of snow tonight and tomorrow but as usual that's all scaled back to 3-4" but even that will make it awesome. If I didn't have 2400 miles this year I'd be up there riding.

We ended up in Bayfield at the Legendary Waters Resort/Casino. Snow conditions were good to very good. Went down through Valhalla and over to Iron River and back up through west side of the peninsula. Arguably the best scenery and changes in grade I've ever ridden. I will go back. Then went out to the Apostle Islands as well. Looks of snow in the woods as we did a lot of digging sleds out.
