washed out roads or trails

As we near the season and trying to plan dates, I know parts of the keewenaw were heavily damaged as result of flooding. Does anyone know if any major roads or trails up there that may not be reopened in time for the snow season?

All major roads are open and most of the problems with the smaller roads are fixed. I would be surprised if all road issues are not taken care of before the snow flies.

As for the trails for snowmobiling...The Freeda loops will be closed all season for 2018-19 as will trail 3 from Dollar Bay to Lake Linden. All other snowmobile trails will be open for the season.

John,

Do you know if there is gonna be a way to get into Lake Linden at all via a reroute or anything from Calumet?

Man that is gonna put a dent in the sled traffic up there. When I was up there a month ago i can fully understand the HUGE undertaking it will be to get things back to normal. Crazy the amount of damage.

You can take the Calumet to Lake Linden trail to the turn off point for the trail to Gay. There will be a way to get into Lake Linden from that turn off. So yes, you will be able to get to Lake Linden via Calumet.

Maybe a bit less traffic on weekends!
