washing machine help

sooo,
We have an amana lw8303w front loading washer, about 13 years old, and the belt was junk and the water pump was leaking so I spent the $80.00 and replaced them, no big deal. When we went to use it I found out the tub seal was bad. The pump was not returnable so I spent another $130.00 for the tub bell seal kit and a new tub bearing, took it apart and fixed the leak. When I went to use it again it keeps stopping becouse its out of balance. Everything that I did is centered around the main transmission shaft, the inner and outer tubs are attached with 3 and 4 bolts and I have a hard time believing that they could be put on off center, it was hard enough to get the bolts started becouse of the tolerances. I took the whole drum assembly back out and cleaned the bottom of the "stool" and the brass cradle it sits in with rubbing alchohol, reset it and double checked all the spring attachments but it still is out of balance.

Any ideas?

I am going shopping for a new washer and dryer tonight, (the wife says they have to match), besides, the new washers are an inch or so wider and I would have to tear the wainscoat and trim off the wall and re-work it or else find a set that will fit or go with a stacked unit.

I will take it all apart and try and find the cause, donate it or sell it if I can ever get it working again but I am still looking for ideas/causes if anyone has any ideas.
Thanks.

i've tried a couple of these sites and have a local repair company that was a lot of help, but even he doesn't know what to do now. I should have bought new right away, "hindsight"

I believe you are right on that. Sometimes the Best Buy 18 month no interest plan is a good trade for spousal bliss.

Try rotating the inner and outer tubs 180 degrees. In otherwords opposite mating...probaby a 50/50 mating process and you got it in wrong.
