i have been wondering this for 10 years but always forget to ask , why does the trail on the grade west of watersmeet bypass the grade for a few miles then goes back on the grade again? is there a bridge out? landowner issue? thanks

I'm glad you get the plow guy to leave some snow on old US 2. Around here there is very little consideration in that regard. Plow guys say they are told to plow roads, not leave snow on certain areas. Saying that , it isn't the plow guys fault, it is the people who give the orders. And the boss' say the town/county/state dictate what they have to do. It is crazy, but typical snowmobilers nightmare.

I always wondered about that too. I have missed the cut back off of Old 2 heading east many times. Too fast for conditions; shame on me.
