If this area gets 4-6", will be any good at all?? Im wondering if they had any type of base before today, that new snow would seal the deal. Looking to trailer up from Iowa Sat.

Since yesterday, we've received every bit of 6 inches (I'm guessing more like 8) and it's still coming here in Wausau. Trail should be excellent here by the weekend. The rain snow/line looks like it's Southern Portage county with this storm (but Stevens Point is getting heavy snow too so northern Portage County may be fine too). Safely, I would think Marathon County and north will be your best bet.

Marathon county should be very good this coming weekend. Most areas had a solid base before this week's storm that dropped 12"+ over the course of 2.5 days. The clubs have been out grooming. No reason to go any further north :)

Trails were great this last weekend, but heard from the rain Monday they lost at least 4 inches of snow. Plus with the warm up this week, would need a good storm or 2 to re-open them.
