Wawa, Canada Destructive flooding

Not good in Wawa. Northern Lights hotel heavily damaged. Sounds like the economic impact to Wawa is going to be devastating.

Wow, saw updates on Facebook from Northern Lights, but didn't realize the extent of the distruction. This is pretty bad. Thanks for sharing.

It's pretty sad. We stay at the northern lights motel every summer. Love the breakfast deal. They were really nice people and the motel was excellent. From the facebook updates sounds like it may be done for them

Mo and John said the Insurance co. has been real good to them and they plan to rebuild. This is were many of us JD'ers used to stay back when they were open for the winter. They are great friends. Luc the "groomer guy" has also been filling us Facebooker crowd in on what's going on. Mo has started a new page on her web site with pics also.

Just got word, the Motel is a total lose. The cost of filling in the ravines and the rebuilding cost is in the stratosphere price range. I am sure that their next adventure will be as sucessful as they were with the motel. Two great people who do things right. www.nlmotel.com
