Way to calculate distance

I thought I recall seeing an app or website where you could look at a snowmobile trail and see how long each section is? I am doing a ride with my family this weekend and need to be sure I don't push it to far with this group. I thought...someone on this site was able to map out there track ahead of time to plan the mileage, stops and fuel. But I can't seem to find it. FWIW - in Wisconsin, Oneida and Price counties.

I've never done it, but I know with the Polaris Ride Command App you can log in online and plan routes to get mileage. As I mentioned, never done it, so I don't know how accurate or reliable it is.

For a "rough" estimate each "section" is 1 mile on each of the 4 sides.

I did use this method for our ride and it was about 10% off of what the actual mileage was, but close enough for what I wanted to do with it. My daughter was riding on the two up with me, and put in 125 miles in about a 5 hour ride. She did great, but was ready to get off and warm up next to the fire at the cabin.

Thanks for reporting back and glad to hear it worked for what you wanted. Was the 10% difference in ride command under or over the actual mileage? Out of curiosity, how old is your daughter? Glad she had a great time!

My actual mileage was about 10% higher than what was calculated in ride command. Not a big deal at all. My daughter is 10. Towards the end she was getting on the bored side and her neck was a bit sore. I know I could have pushed it another 40 miles or so, but I want to make sure she wants to saddle back up again.

Very smart, don't want to over do it!
