We Need a Name

There is a association that has formed for ORV/ATV in the U.P. it is kinda like what MSA is for snowmobiling. It will be the parent club for all ORV/ATV clubs in the U.P. Each area of the U.P. has a member of their area on the Board. Uniting all together will help in getting more trails open, connecting trails and laws passed!! I'm very excited about this group and I have just been elected to serve as the secertary :)

Here's where we need some help

The name at the start has been U.P. ORV Trails Association personally I like this name and hope we keep it, but before we incorporate the group wants to be sure the name is what they want. I thought maybe you guys could help us. The thought is to maybe find a easier name like how MSA is 3 letters that stand for the whole name. Any suggestions would be great...Thanks

Well first off the ORV stands for Off Road Vehicles correct? If I’m correct and am an outsider looking in I would consider this to also include 4X4 Jeeps, Trucks, and Suv’s and Motocross type motorcycles. Is your group covering these others mentioned?

Be careful, only have a name that includes EVERYTHING you represent. IE. The MSA stands for Mich Snowmobile Assoc. thus clearly covering the snowmobile nothing more and nothing less (at least that’s how I see it).

With all this said and if your group does cover everything I mentioned then simply remove the word "Trails" and go with MOVA,(Mich Off-road Vehicle Assoc) clean and simple.

That's my 2 cents,

As a snowmobiler and ATV'er, I don't like the name.

I guess I missunderstood. I thought you were trying to incorporate sledding in the whole concept..

I do like MORVA tho...
