For our May 21st meeting we would like to do a spring cleanup on trail 2 from Wisconsin boarder to Marenisco.. Our goal is to clean up trash, fallen limbs, light brushing, and minor repairs(I.e. Fill potholes, drain standing water, standing/replacing fallen signs, ect) We plan on meeting at shed at 9:30 am and separating into groups and working till 3:30 and then meeting at a yet undetermined location for pot-luck style BBQ.
Will be separating trail into segments.
1. Hurley to Walmart.
2. Walmart to Bessemer
3. Bessemer to Ramsey
4. Ramsey to Wakefield
5. Wakefield to Great Lakes Rd
6. Great Lakes to Marenisco.
What do we need?
1 . We need someone who can organize and set-up the BBQ
2. We need 6 people to head each group in each trail segment.
3. We need Donated fill materials for potholes. In all segments.
4. Volunteers to help.
Items to bring for work party:
1. Shovels
2. Garbage bags
3. Pick ax
4. Gloves
5. Proper attire for weather conditions
6. Bug spray
Most areas are accessible by pick-up, but will need wheelers and side by sides for some sections of trail.
