These pictures were taken on our trip to Michigamme over February 16th - 20th 2007. The snow around Michigamme was thin however once you went north towards Big Bay or west towards Mass City the snow greatly improved. Even though the snow was a bit thin near Michigamme, the Maple Ridge Resort on Lake Michigamme was absolutely awesome. The lake is huge and was fun to explore. Overall the trip was great, we put on around 500 miles and despite a small accident, where my cousing was following to closely and ran into me on a Firesteel Bridge it was for the most part very enjoyable. I also was able to go on a tour of Michigan Tech University while I was in the area as I may attend college there next year.

No, for some reason the sign was not at the top of the hill, I have no idea where it went.
