What if. . .

I view model forecasts and see things have changed for the worse for the forecast Mondayish. What if that deep area of low pressure coming out of Canada weakens considerablly? Will that affect the placement of the freeze line or is it dictated more by the jet stream? Chasing snow (hopefully not rain),

The jet is the main driving force. It would have to change first to allow the low in southern Canada to be weaker and then the combination of the two would lead to less warm air advection and better chances that precip could stay as snow in the Northwoods.

I've been called worse!

Actually JD is one of my nicknames and am just fine with it.
