What is a good sale price of Ski doo 2006 GTX 500 SS

It has been awhile since I sold a sled. I have a 2006 2 up Ski Doo GTX 500SS. The sled is in good condition, 56XX miles with new gel coat battery. Don't need a 2 up sled anymore. Don't want to give the sled away but don't want to over price it either.

Thoughts appreciated.

Thanks

I would agree. Same around Twin Cities.

I tend to agree, maybe a bit more if it has not been exposed to salt and comes with a cover and extra belt; go for $2,995.
This is great resale on a sled that sold new for $5,995 back in 2007 (as a one year overstock).

garrett...in no way am I getting on you or the others....but did you check the nada guide? that sled is 13 years old whether in mint condition or not...you gotta put yourself in the buyers shoes...would you pay 3000 for a sled that's 13 years old regardless of mileage? I sure wouldn't....I would say maybe 1500...don't kill the messenger...you could try the 3 grand but it might sit a spell...then again theres PT BARNUMS saying....it is a good sled for sure as I had 500 ss before as well...personally I always check the guides to see what the bank says its worth....then I go from there a tad higher if its in mint...sometimes a sled like that is cheaper to keeper...my 2c

Thanks,

Dealer suggested mid 2000's as 2-up sleds are always in high demand, especially ones in good condition and low miles relative to the age of the sled. This number seems to square to what others are saying in the $2300 to $2500 range. Extra belt and new gel coat battery are worth something.

Thanks for the comments

Exactly, try to find a sled used like this..not too easy.
NADA on sleds is not too helpful in reality as it cannot take into consideration time of year, weather conditions, geographical market tolerance and what Manufacturer rebate pressures effect on the market.
Earlier in 18, you could buy a new sled for $9,400 (nice Doo) new and NADA was showing well over 10k for a used one; not exactly reality.

Tracker has a point though, it would be better with fewer miles as people see turning over 5k a milestone mentally.

Does not matter what the book says, but the book says

Low retail $1765 Average retail $2320

o it matters....so I am gonna go with 1800 then....since there is 100 sleds in Illinois that are only 5 to 7 years old with 1000 miles for 2000...more power to ya if ya get 2900

Yes I live in Palatine. In the townhouses right across the tracks from Durty Nellies. Great area. Lots of night life in downtown area.

You are one of the "other side of the tracks" people haha. Grew up over by Winston Campus. That area is real fun, I just couldn't stand the state anymore.
