What is the stator output of a 2007 Polaris 600 RMK?

It is reasonable to assume 400W, I am sure it is published somewhere.
The bigger question is how much is consumed by normal use.
This is far tougher to determine.
Lets assume 400W is correct.
How close do you want to get to 400W?
Lets go 80% of 400W or 320W.
Post once you have facts, all very interesting.

I do not believe Polaris designed greater output, for unknown purposes.

Bob - I haven't learned anything new since my original post.

My NEW question is can anybody tell me EXACTLY what is needed to but a battery only into this sled? It has the (edited) carb'd HO motor. Just want to add a battery to help with the loads being put on the charging system.....make everything work more consistently.

THis is my sons 2007 600 HO RMK 155. Assuming everything was wired in correctly, once he added a heated seat, even with the seat heat switch on OFF, his shield heater didn't work as well and neither did the handlebar heaters.

I contend that something isn't wired right but he insists everything is correct. He and the sled are in Alaska so I can't help him in person.

The stator output on the carb'd version of this sled (which my son has) is a paltry 280W. On the CFI version of the sled the stator is a more robust 400W.

For posterity the red and red/white wires on this sled are your 12v DC power. Red/white is supposed to be for accessories and red to the battery if it has one. Yellow wires are AC power.

If everything was wired correctly this is not possible, if the seat is not drawing any power, which it shouldn't be if it is off, everything else should operate as it did before the heated seat was added.

I know. He insists that everything is correct, but I'm not there to verify.

So I'm not understanding this. You said he has a 07 CFI 600 RMK.
Then you say he has the carb'ed version with the 280w stator.

Which is it?
