I am looking to sell a 1999 Arctic Cat ZL 500 efi. This sled has approximately 4600 miles. In very good condition, with no body damage whatsoever. Seat is in very good condition, well maintained and stored indoors. The sled has reverse and with the EFI, starts in one or two pulls.

What would be a good sale price?

Thanks

Do ya want to know what is worth or what your going to have to price it at to get a buyer in the middle of one of the worst winters in recent times. I just say that because my thought is $800-$900

Wasn't tryin to insult ya. It seems like a really nice sled. My only point was that its a really small market of buyers right now and if you want to sell a sled right now your going to have to price it way less than what its worth.

I would say that this sled could bring around $1500 but you have to get it very exposed to a large audience to get it.

Get around to some of the dealerships in your area and see what they are getting. Also there is an auction site (forget the name of it) down by Coldwater Michigan that sells a bunch of sleds at this time of year each month and posts the info for you to see. These will then give you a ball park...but the actual price will be determined by a willing buyer who will part with whatever cash he thinks the sled is worth. That's why you need to get it exposed to a large audience. Lots of pictures and lots of details so that there is no doubt this is a good sled. Though it sounds like it is in good shape, 4600 miles can begin to scare off some serious buyers with the "it's gett'n tired....." syndrome. Finally it comes down to how badly you want to sell it and how badly someone will want to buy it....the rest is just speculation.

Happening alot more these days. Thought last years posts, whining, arguements etc... were off base. This years seem as though they'll surpass last years. One thing I have noticed is Nash seems to have found a new hobby. Boy did I just open myself wide open. Have at it!

Oh, by the way. Just sold two 99 Polaris 500 XC's. One with over 7,000, the other with over 5,000 miles. Got $1,000 & $1,500 respectively. Both were clean, well maintained sleds.

NADA say's $1160, but, if it is in as good condition as described you could probably start at $1300. I have to partially agree with previous statements regarding this low snow / no snow season, if I were you, I would hang onto it for now & try to sell it when the weather will entice buyers.-Mezz

Your sled won't be worth less next year when the snow files sell now sell next year worth about the same $1000.

Criticism is only what you make of it.

If you can type 45 wpm, and formulate a sentence without really having to think about it, then it probably took less time to type than it took the "hunt and peckers" to dis me.

I pay it no mind. Hope my thoughts were appreciated by the guy looking for advice.

Good answer. $1,000 or $1,500 is a lot of money to some people.

I think the criticizer was just making a joke.

oh, so you got a real keyboard to work with, I suspect those boys are on their Iphones at work hiding out in the can. The "Hunt and peckers" is a keeper phrase, mind if I use it? lol
