Here's a couple of links to the EAA Fly-In in Oshkosh this month. The first runs 60 seconds with visual highlights, the second link is a bit longer with video detailing of what it's like flying in to AirVenture.

July 22nd through the 28th are the dates, I think this'll be my 4th or 5th year working there with mostly volunteers in logistics, traffic, and transportation. It's clean, it's family friendly, and just a ton of stuff to see and do. Personally, I enjoy my time around the Warbirds the most. If you're in the Oshkosh area or just passing through, this could be the highlight of the summer. It's really something to see when you bring 10,000 planes and 500,000 people in to the world's busiest airport for those 7 days. Hope to see you there!

Politics aside, my Sister flies in a helicopter for the Border Patrol "CBP" and gives kids in the "Make a wish foundation" rides.
I am also amazed by the fly-in and the fact that it is the busiest airport in the world for a week or so.

Going to the show on Sat 27th. A friend has connections with Oracle, so we're guests at their tent. Should be cool.

Good to hear from you Toolmaker, it's been awhile. I was out on the lake today and already some early birds coming in to Wittman.

Green Bay is starting to fill up. There was a couple of really cool looking planes and a ton of regular smaller planes too.

Agreed.
I stayed a the Radisson across the road from the Green Bay Airport last night as we still do not have WE Energies power 6 miles way.
Funny how our neighbors 4 houses away have power with WPS.

I spent Sunday on the grounds at EAA. The recent heavy rains have caused many of the campers to be placed in the parking lots at least for a couple of days until it dries out a bit. Otherwise, business as usual. We live about 12 miles north of the airport and there's quite a bit of traffic overhead. I heard the Warbirds flying this morning when I let the dog out.
