When do they pull the mat?

Might try to get up for one more trip this year. Would like to be able to ride across the bridge. Do they pull the mat April 1st?

They probably pull it about the same time as they go and bulldoze all the snow off of the sidewalk on trail 3 parallel to the canal leading up to the bridge... We'll see what this April holds in store, but it was hilarious last year watching the city of Houghton trying to "force Spring."

I can't recall exactly when they got that desperate last year, but I think it was during the second half of the month.

We have rode the bridge without the mat. It works fine.

My thought when I read the thread title was dah, when the snow melts, trying to force spring, typical smart person

The "snow" will be on the bridge for a while yet. I don't see the ice going anywhere for a while so there shouldn't be a reason for the bridge to be moving anytime soon.
