Where is the best place to check weather in Togwotee?

Carter i think he meant "is the weather station, just in from the road, functional?" (i read it a couple time too)

????? Reads fine from here ???? The weather station north of the lake tucked in the pines is what I am referring to. Smart phones tend to change things around.

Anyways, You hauled me thru that area. Found it again last year and found it strange that it is circled tightly with pine trees. Kinda hard to get actual wind speeds in there??

Okay, next question Carter. What is the name of the old snowmobile trail/pass that runs thru there on the back side of the lake. Ya the one that is knarly and still has at least one orange trail marker still up on it?

The national weather service in riverton has issued a winter
storm warning for snow and blowing snow...which is in effect
from 11 am this morning to 5 am mst tuesday. The winter storm
watch is no longer in effect.

* summary and timing...snow will begin this morning and become
steadier and heavier late this morning and afternoon. There will
likely be an especially heavy period of heavy snowfall along
with strong winds monday afternoon and night before tapering to
light snow on tuesday.

* snow accumulations...18 to 24 inches with locally higher
amounts in favored upslope areas.

* wind and visibility...west southwest winds increasing to 20 to
35 mph with higher gusts with gusts 70 mph at the summits.
Visibility will be reduced to under one quarter mile at times in
heavy snow and blowing and drifting snow.
