Where to go last week in July?

My wife and I have the last 8 days of July off. We are wondering where to go. We have a 37 ft Class A motorhome, and will not be taking a car with us. We've been to all the places in WI already, and the western end of the yoop and kenwaunee(sp). Whats to do in the eastern yoop? Or maybe in northern MN? Or even any of MN? North Dakota?
We are in early 30s with no kids, but do have a Black Lab that will be going with us. We arent big hikers, but an easy trail is fine.
Any advice or recommendations are appreciated.

Indiana?????? Who in the world would choose Indiana over 'da UP?!?!?!?!?!

There is a lot to do and see in the eastern UP.

You've got:

- Marquette (Presque Isle Park, Lower Harbor Park, Sugar Loaf Mountain, nice resturaunts, campground just across the highway from Lake Superior, beautiful beaches & light houses).

- Munising ( Pictured Rocks Boat Tour, campground right on Lake Superior, beautiful beaches & light houses)

- Grand Marais (huge sand dunes, Grand Sable Lake, beautiful beaches & light houses, campground right on Lake Superior)

- Newberry & Paradise ( Oswald Bear Ranch, Tahquamenon Falls, Whitefish Point, Edmund Fitzgerald Museum, beautiful beaches & light houses)

All of these are easily accessable from a big 'ol motorhome.

EMPIRE -- Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is offering new summer bike tours focusing on the effects of invasive species.

Interpretive Park Ranger Ryan Locke of Spring Lake will lead the two-hour rides. They're part of educational efforts at the National Lakeshore, which is headquartered at Empire in Michigan's northwestern Lower Peninsula.

Locke has led other bike tours at the lakeshore for the past two summers.

The tours start this week and are free with admission to the lakeshore. One called "Discovering the Changing Landscape" is Wednesdays at 5 p.m. The other is "Aliens in the Ecosystem!" and is Thursdays at 11 a.m.

The 7- to 10-mile, easy to moderate rides are part of the educational component of the federal Great Lakes restoration initiative.

Head East

Stick with the U.P. If you've seen everything in the western U.P. I'd suggest you just head east... central U.P. from Baraga to Marquette is nice... primitive, remote and wild. Alot to see in that area but you need good transportation. Check out Van Riper State Park and the surrounding area... 35 mi. or so to Marquette where there's lots to see and do, there's also camping near Marquette.
Otherwise head further east from Munising to Grand Marais and Newberry.... Pictured Rocks area is very nice and I'd recommend the Pictured Rocks Boat Tour, especially the last trip of the day.... I'm sure there's good campgrounds for a motorhome, but all my camping experience has been more towards the remote, primitive areas... I know there are nice campgrounds in the Pictured Rocks.
Towards Newberry is Tahquamenon Falls which is a must see and the State Park there is nice but pretty popular and may get crowded... you may need to inquire about site availability. There's also Muskellunge Lake State Park between Grand Marais and Newberry.
