6 of us will be heading up north jan 1st looking for a decent house,cabin or condo to stay in any suggestions on where to stay any where from hurley up into the U.P will work stayed in a condo in hurley last year that was decent also stayed in a house in Bergland but cant remember the name of the people we rented from thanks

Good advice so far, but also check the Northwoods Directory, last choice on the left side menu.
if you are still looking, we would love to have you in Rockland. One of the safer bets for snow is from Rockland-Twin Lakes and up the peninsula. We are on the "near" side for most people of the snow belt.

Peppermill is great, Darrell and Cindy have nice houses for rent. They are our home away from home in the Winter, and Henry's is a must stop Friday and Saturday buffet and Wednesday Pizza night. The Bluff would be our second choice. We have stayed with them when they were in Mass City.
