Whitedust.......
Any chance you've rode anytime between Thursday after the few inches fell and Friday morning? We're also based out of Phelps, and are trying to decide if we can "scratch thru" locally to get a ride in, knowing that it would be best to ride N or NW of Phelps as we head out each day. Hoping you've got something fresh to add this morning??

DITTO... My group is coming up the 19th thru the 23rd. I've been watching the snow tracks reports which are now done by Phil at Sunrise. Phil rides the trails all the time and gives honest reports but it's always good to get other reports.

Couple of inches of fluff snow on trail ice is all that fell since the thaw. Area Lakes should be frozen solid so that is the good news. My sled has been parked since 28th just not enough snow to work with or cool engine so far. I was in ER yesterday Vintage Derby running & did not see a single sled on trails for 20 miles on Route 70 /Trail 10 E. I think an air cooled sled could hack it with good carbides since so cold but my 4s would overheat for sure. We need snow!!!...... LES or system snow but so far just 2 inches or so. We are considering trailering to UP next week if conditions do not improve.:(

Post is right on I am in ER and since the thaw I have maybe 1-2" of fluff in the driveway need more snow and a nice heavy system snow would be best.
