Whitefish Point/Paradise lake effect

Can you explain to me how Munising and Grand Marais can get hammered and Paradise gets only a fraction. Looking at the radar it appears the wind would favor Paradise also, but not the case. Oh by the way, thank you for all you do for the Great Lakes snowmobile community. Your web site is awesome.

Well, so far though this event, the winds in Munising and GM have been from the NW, while winds at the far eastern end of the UP have been NE and even east. Not a good wind direction for LES in the eastern UP.

Unfortunately, it does not look like things will change too much through the bulk of this event.
