That is the trail to Summit peak, I know it is only a quasi real trail but we ran out of track and engine (maybe skill too). Fortunately only got stuck once.

I am not one to say never, but it would be quite the feat. As more snow is piled on top of the old, it really compacts it down. I guess if we were to get a nice 2 foot dumping, without wind, in a 24 hour period, then it would likely get buried. Needless to say that when the snow does melt sometime this spring (or maybe 4th of July!), I will need to put more markings on it, as the 48" mark just did not cut it this year.

This is the most snow we have had on the ground since we moved here from Lake Linden. Pretty incredible!

Absolutely nuts. I can't even imagine what it is like to live up by you. Having double digit snow cover down here for some time definitely makes the grass and bare ground seem so unfamiliar. What is it like once 50 somethin inches of compacted snow finally melts?

It is a little strange for a while, once all the snow melts, especially in years where it is covered for 6 months. Once it does melt, the grass looks like a green brillow pad, all the blades smashed down from the weight of the snow.

We drove right by that trail on Saturday. It must have been your tracks we saw when we drove by the entrance. I decided I wasn't going to try with a short track since it is usually deeper up on top.

Favoritos - you were more wise than me. I got about 500 yards in and immediately regretted my decision but had to go to the end to turn around. I am shocked we only got stuck once being on a short track sled...

Dang, that pic is cool. I've been trying for two seasons now to get that kind of snow up over the hood of the RMK. haven't had anything that sweet.
