For starters, the new sled didn't come with a separate owner's manual for the G8, although I did find a Garmin Tread manual on Country Cat's website (which is where I find everything I can't find on AC's main site) but it's not snowmobile specific. My question is can you boot up the unit without actually starting the sled? I know can adjust how long it stays on after the sled is turned off, but it would be really nice to just turn the key and have the unit come on without starting the sled in the garage every time. Am I missing something really simple and stupid? I'm thinking it's because it's pushbutton start, but I would hope by turning the key on that the unit would come on. Edit: never mind, I found a video from Justin at Cat saying the sled has to be powered on, but you can power it with the USB cable.
