Why do TV weather persons say this?

This really irritates me, sorry, but if the wind is blowing FROM the south, they say," The wind is To the south", etc. When did they change that, or have I just started to notice it? John, if you say they are correct, then I will stop getting irritated when they say it. :)

You would have to talk to them to find out, but they are wrong in my opinion. If you say the wind is "to the south", it is traveling to the south, not from the south.

Perhaps a call into them is warranted.
