If you go to realtor dot com and punch in hurley and ironwood, it seems that the prices are pretty similar for similar sized homes. There does appear to be a number of older homes for sale that are in various states of repair, that are very reasonable in price...but they also have the nice jobs which are "all done" for a similar price as those in Hurley. There also seems to be for whatever reason, more pieces in ironwood that have larger parcels of land available at the moment.
Otherwise, it is a perceived notion you have at best.
