WI, MN, CA, MI, WI Loop ride

Planning ahead for next year already. My husband and I are planning a saddlebag trip leaving WI, heading up to northern MN, into Canada, and back down through the UP and home next year. Has anyone on here ever done this trip? Just curious as to how long it takes. Dawn

your better off going counter clockwise and coming back into the USA at Crane Lake ,MN. or getting a remote border crossing permit from Canada customs if clockwise.2 people should get 250 miles in a day easy!

I can tell you that it is approx, 2000 miles around the lake from the Minocqua area. Some friends of mine rode it a couple of years ago but I was unable to go along on that trip, still would like to some day. I also know that it is 550 miles from the Athens area to the Boundary waters and the Canadian border by sled we have rode that a couple of times. Getting around Superior can be diffucult, but you can do it or you can get hauled thru, we have done it both ways
