Wicking Socks

Has anybody ever used the brand Drymax Sport Socks? I've been searching for a good pair of sweat wicking socks and came across their website. I've never thought about it this way but they explained that basically wicking means "completely wet" and as the socks do wick the sweat and water away from your skin it spreads the water and sweat across the entire sock to evaporate more efficiently. The only problem you run into is how do your socks dry when they are in your shoes. Before I go and buy a pair I was just wondering if any of you out there have used this brand before and if they actually work, or what socks DO work.

After looking at that site and reading what they have to say I am ordering a couple pairs. I will let you know how they work after my trip on the 20th.

My problem is that my feet sweat (gross i know) wheather im cold or hot. Well once they sweat then my feet freeze from my socks being wet. I like that these Drymax socks have two layers. The inner layer to keep my feet dry while the outter layer 'wicks' away the water. I think im going to have to give these a try and cross my fingers that they work. How were they for hiking?

drymax

I use Drymax socks for both snowmobiling and hockey. They do keep your feet dry and warm. The moisture from your feet has to go somewhere so it will end up in your boots. If you dry your boots/liners at the end of each day your feet should be much more comfortable.

"Smartwool"

We have really good luck with socks by "Smartwool". We get 'em at Gander Mountain and just love 'em. They are about $8/pair, but very comfy, warm and always dry. They are basically a different version of the wicking sock. I got a couple pair on my Xmas list.

A pair of poly sock liners under a pair of Smartwool or Under Armour boots socks works for me. This combo inside of my Gore-tex boots=dry warm feet!

just grab a pair of mens polyester dress socks and wear wool socks over them. a fraction of the price and does an awesome job wicking moisture away. The dress socks work as well as any other product I've ever bought.
