Love the wilderness, but have found it to quite expensive and out of range as of late. Ended taking the kids to Key Lime Cove in Gurnee IL and it was nice but did not even come close to the wilderness. I also know there website also advertises certain specials every month.

Chula Vista is also nice, but I don't think you will save any money going there.

The Wilderness website is the only place I've seen specials. Booking well in advance has worked well for us too in the past.

I take my family almost every september the week after labor day for the past 10 years. The rates are at best that time of year. Last year I had got a 2 bedroom condo with full kitchen and all. I paid $140 a night the regular hotel room was $100 a night at that time. It was a no brainer for me to get condo. Also check prices for different dates as some weekends will have more coming in and the way it works the more rooms they book the price goes up for those dates. They people at check in told me this. Try to book as far in advance as possible to lock in price. I find the Wilderness to be the best waterpark hotel up there.

Been there many times and been to the others and The Wilderness is the best! If you get on their website and sign up for the e mail specials the cheapest you will find is going on a week day (really sunday to thursday) and rates are $99 a night.

I you know a cop or fireman ask them to go and book a room for both families to enjoy. Police, Fire and Military get a UNBELIEVABLE discount!!!! At least they used to my family has been for a couple of years. Back when we were going the room prices were more than 50% off that of everyone else. There were restrictions on days you could go if I remeber correctly. Got a time share in Cocco Beach Florida now so we try and avoid the Death Trap Dells as much as possible.
