Will The Cold Hold until December 1 Opening Day?

Hi John!

I know long term predictions are a crap shoot. Most predictions - including yours - max out around ten days out. That takes us to Nov 22. The current thinking is the Keweenaw will remain below freezing until then. Do the models go further? I am just trying to determine if we will have the traditional (or at least expected by me) meltdown before opening day December 1. So disclaimers notwithstanding - any guess or indications as to whether the snow will hold until opening day?

John won't answer a specific forecast question, but I like to look at Accuweather's long range forecast (see link below) that goes out 45 days (which changes quite a bit). Right now it doesn't look like there is a big warm up, just a few days slightly above freezing.
