Yes it is open and has been in great condition this year. It is a slightly different route than when it was closed several years ago. The northern end comes out on 2 (the grade) about nine miles or so west of Marenisco and about a third of it is forest or fire road.
Probably my favorite trail in that area and always less trafficked than trail 1 north.
