Been averaging about 2000 miles in UP & Northern WI a season so probably more of the same. If it snows? :)

Nothing set in stone yet, but would like to spend some more time in Boulder Junction area as well as Western U.P., had a real nice ride out of Paulding first week in March last winter and would like to ride more of the area this coming winter. We will just have to see when the snow starts and where it holds out the best.

I will be heading out to Togwotee between Christmas and New Year's. I did not make it to the Snowies at all last year so I think a long weekend out there sometime in January or February will get booked. A week back to Togwotee last week of February or first week of March will be booked also. Need to get some hours on the new Summit XM.

We've hit Steamboat Lake CO the last two years, and have had a good time. Not the greatest last year, but found some untouched snow. May be heading back there the beginning of Feb, or might try western WY based on a friend's recommendation. If anyone has any thoughts about western WY, or good places to stay, would appreciate the suggestions.

Just did a sidejob, guy payed $5,500 in cash that the wifey does not know about... Hmmmm where to go? I did Togwotee last yr for 5 days & it was an absolute riot, even though I did blow the clutch on the truck 10 miles away from the lodge the first day we were there. Would like to go back but thinking of Island Park ID. Maybe both? Since it wont snow here this season again.

Riding aroung home in Minnesota couple trips to the UP. Super Bowl week in the UP, Togwotee end of Feb beginning of March, we love that area. We may try a trip to the Black Hills area encompassing SD and Wyo. Any thoughts on the Black Hills area.

what are your true thoughts on your 2012 pro rmk 800 is it 155 or 163. Just bought a 2012 pro 155 brand new for $8900

Inaugural trip to Snowies over Thanksgiving planned already. This will be 4th year in a row we have rode Snowies over Thanksgiving. Although last year we did bust up some sled parts. Hoping for early November heavy snow.

Also going to Togwotee for week before Christmas. Hoping for more snow this year.

Made my only trip last year to the Black Hills and had a blast. Stuff to do in town (Sturgis & Deadwood) if you happen to have an off day of riding (not like that is likely). Get off trail #7 ASAP as it's busy as $hit, but other than that, plenty of exploring to do both on trail and off. Lodging @ Black Hills Off Road Rentals is basic (cement floors) but clean and cheap ($105/ night). Trails are marked VERY well and you would have to try pretty hard to get lost. Let me know if you want any other info.

Poo hit it on the mark, best sled from poo I ever owned. Little bit of a learning curve, my summit riding buddies love it and said it is way more "flickable". 1200 miles on it out west and the sled makes you a better rider. I paid much more than the $8900: you will be happy.

Trips all planned, how about the rest of you?

OK, sorry to ask such a stupid question, but curious how you all "plan" these trips? Just put dates on the calendar and hope for the best? I haven't been doing it all that long, but have gone w/ the "snow and go" plan. BUT, I've got some buddy's I'd like to get into the sport and their schedules don't lend real well to this short notice. Best game plan I've come up with is picking two locations and hoping at least one of the two has snow on the ground, but I also don't want to waste their time with mediocore conditions or they might not get sold on it, which is also key for my long term plan to have riding buddies. Anyway, just wondering how everyone else handles this? Thanks.
