Wolverines are extremely rare in Michigan.

A sighting On February 25, 2004 near Ubly (at the tip o' the thumb, in Huron county) was the first confirmed sighting in Michigan in 200 years. The animal was found dead in 2010 (reported by the Detroit Free Press on March 15, 2010).

Wow

Read into Wolverines a little bit and it's saddening how fast the population is dropping 30% a year in some areas. They seem to be total badasses when it comes to taking on larger predators and how they can eat bone to stay alive. Most that are left are in the Nothern rockies and Canada.

I saw a badger or wolverine on the side of the road back in 2008. Not really sure what it was but assumed a badger because I only saw it for a split second as I drove by. My wife saw it...

Two years ago in Boulder Junction something jumped in front of me on the trail. Someone said it was a fisher but it was a lot bigger when i looked it up. So maybe it was a badger or a wolverine.
