wrightstown bridge

Has anyone crossed the new bridge in Wrightstown with their sled yet? Seems a long ways to run on bare road, and I'm sure they dont leave any snow on it like they didn't with the last one. Wish they would let the sleds run the old bridge.

We were just talking about this with my group on Sunday. Both sidewalks and the whole bridge scraped down to the bare concrete. The bridge is 3x as long as the old bridge. My brother lives on the west side of the fox river and I live on the east side. We USE to ride together. We now both feel the same - not worth running over the darn thing. Maybe we will trailer to meet, but creates another step:(.

There was a snowmobile lane in the masterplan of the bridge - I looked at it prior to the bridge being built. Big miss imho. Not sure what happened.

Guess there's not much we can do. We're leaving Manitowoc tomorrow morning heading for Michigan. My sled isn't a trailer queen. Hammer down!

Wow, didn't know they redid the bridge. Crossed it many times in the past riding from Adell to Post lake and back. It was a pain back then.

FYI; I drove my truck across the bridge today from the west to the east and it is marked with a DOT sign allowing snowmobiles. Yes, it is void of snow but it is legal.
I noticed that there is a cut out about 3/4 of the way down the bridge that you can depart the bridge early and go to the gas station on the east side of the bridge.
Tons of traffic in the area and saw some ski tracks going across the bridge. Just lean back and take some pressure off the wear rods is the best you can do.
