OK, so here is an interesting website www.fatfingers.com. If you shop on eBay, you know how to do the search function to find items of interest. Well, if you think about it, if a seller lists an item and misspells the name, a search on eBay will not find the item. Therefore, hundreds of misspelled items never get bids and are great deals if you can find them.
That's where this site fits. When you go to the site you type in your search term and it references a catalog of spelling errors and finds items that fit. The example given in the Chicago Tribune was "emerald ring." The site found an "emrald ring" that fit the buyer's needs and had zero bids. Also worked for iPod (eye pod, I+pod, etc.).
Ok, so I tried "Arctic Cat". Whoa! Seems like a lot of people spell it "Artic Cat" and there are 1213 misspelled items with little or no bid activity.
Polaris was not so good at only 146 misspells, Ski Doo had 3146 items, Yamaha had 197.
Interesting way to dig out deals on eBay, site is free.
