Yamaha Bravo 250 Engine

I just picked up a 1994 250 Bravo for the youngster and was curious what peoples thoughts are on this engine? It seems pretty simple and wanted something he can ride for the next 4-5 years vs. outgrowing a 120. Thanks.

Nice little sleds. They are darn near bullet proof, and will probably still be running long after your kids have moved up to bigger sleds. We had little Yamahas for our kids when they were growing up and they always ran great, they are probably still running somewhere 15 years later.

I have to agee. The engine is so simple - all you need is air, fuel and spark. Your kids will love it.

I owned a Bravo for about 20 yrs and sold it for more than I bought it for.

Oh did I tell you "0" repairs except for cleaning the clutch! If your clutch is dirty it is pretty jerky on takeoff which isn't too good for kids. Idles a bit rough--- is the only complaint and I did replace track clips at probably 8,000 miles.
