If you are looking at a used Yamaha 4s milage is not much of a concern so not sure why anyone would disguse 4s milage. Just read about a Venture turning 40,000 miles.....yawn. As more & more 4s sleds are purchased 12,000 to 18,000 miles will be common on sleds & engines in very good condition. If well maintained 4s engines & sleds just not a problem but people will need to see it to believe it. Stay tuned it will happen just need more time to put on miles.

Miles can be very deceiving.
I sold an 03 RX1 last spring with 15000 miles on it. It was in far better condition than a lot of sleds I have seen with 2000 miles on them.

So look at the wear parts, if it has been well maintained and looks good , it probably is, regardless of miles on the clock.
The track is the best indicator of mileage, assuming it has not been replaced.
