I have a 2003 yamaha rx1, rear heat exchange got damaged, need to replace it. I have the new parts and everything disconnected my only problem is how to slide the old exchange out, it's like there is not enough room to get it out. Any suggestions? it seems like I'm missing a step.

I'm guessing that your talking about the tube that connects the side heat exchangers. You can either drill the rivets out on the tunnel closure and I believe it will pull out or you cut the wholes in the side of the tunnel a little bigger and take it out that way. The plastic covers the holes so you will not be able to see it. Good luck.

thanks for your help stewyd800 and chad66 that's what I thought of doing but it's nice to know someone else is thinking that way before you go ahead and do it.
