Last week, I ordered a new riser for my 2008 Yamaha Vector. I wanted a little bit more height for when I need to stand up, but not to much that it is like ape hanger handlebars when sitting. I bought an 8" riser to replace the stock 6" one off of Ebay. Everything appeared that it would bolt right on when I ordered it.
When we went to put the riser on my sled, we found that the stock riser has a half moon shape that the bars fit into. Unfortunately the new riser does not. We re-installed the stock riser for the time being, but I would like to finish this before the winter sets in.
My question to the JD world is, has anyone else put a different riser on a Deltabox II chassis sled, and if so, what did you do to combat this problem?
