I have to pick on guys a bit...lol..lots of sledders up here this weekend..and of course loads of guys wearing bears jerseys, and hats...I have never seen this many in all my years sledding....im LMAO about it because where were you "proud Bears fans" the last 7 years....it's like they suddenly came out of the closet...they just have to jab that knife in our chest one more time by wearing their bears gear up north (Ouch)..Can you imagine what would happen if somebody wearing full packer gear (after beating the bears)..went bar hoping in downtown Chicago?? They would probably get one hell of a beating...Hopefully after tonight you guys are back to wearing your Blackhawks jerseys..🤣😆😉

You are absolutely correct attakman. I made the mistake of wearing my Packers jacket down to the United Center one night years ago to pick up my son and his buddies who were at a Rolling Stones concert. I got out of my truck and was immediately confronted by several drunken Bear fan idiots. They told me to lose my coat or suffer the consequences. Fortunate for me, there was a Chicago cop sitting with his lights on waiting to direct traffic. I walked away from the idiots and introduced myself to the cop and explained my situation. He laughed, got out of the car and went over to the Bear fans with his night stick out. I leaned against the squad and could not help myself by waving bye bye to the idiots with my middle finger. Lesson learned. Wear Green Bay stuff when at cabin in Wisconsin.

Do you really wonder why? It runs deeper than just football...However...Your Coach said " F--k them, F--k the Packers"...whether or not you agree with it...it definitely chapped some asses up here, mine included....add in the years of abuse many Northern Wisconsin servers, bartenders and customer service workers have dealt with from FIBS (not all)...and it's caused a lot of bad blood...that one comment (which the bears media staff wasted no time in posting to social media, unedited)....was like throwing gasoline on the fire....For some reason when people bring up how rude some FIBS are (note I didn't say ALL) , they always get defensive and say even MORE insulting things like "you'd starve without us coming up here, spending money"....(if you want to see a local's eye start twitching, and his attitude towards you change, say that to him)....I actually agree that Minocqua, Eagle River, Boulder Jct....and such, would probably starve, as they are tourist traps to begin with....other towns like Tomahawk, and Rhinelander (who have industry)...not so much......Again...it's more complex than just football, but it really magnified things....there's a lot of sting up here from it.

Idk just happened to be at ice fishing and gravity sleddin party on the Fox at my house Saturday and someone said Pete is a Bears fan! I said yeah and I like the Pack too in fact I like the whole North Division. You like the VIKINGS ? Yeah the Lions too. Lol. Then to cap it off I’m a Cubs fan too. U ARE!!!! But I do like the Brewers too. You do!? My parents moved to Chicago burbs from NJ when I was a teenager it took awhile but Cubs and Bear fan ever since. Heck Bleacher seats were a whole $1 when I was in college driving a cab part time lived near Wrigley Field met my wife there. I always played in WI snow ,water or land moved to WI as soon as could probably 78. Makes no difference to me what teams people like never did never will. I like sports always will part of my life and people are people pretty much try to get along doesn’t matter , sports , politics, or color of your skin probably some good in everyone.

Crazy shoot to kill you brought this up. I was there at that game and missed the late hit because of following the ball. That was about a cheap as a shot as I have ever seen. I personally never hated any fan base based on what happens on the field. I went to so many bear packer games at soldier field. We had packer fans all around us and everyone just had fun and appreciated just being at the game. I for one am not one who lives or dies on sports but I do appreciate people who are really into there teams. I personally take it for what it is and that's entertainment. I personally thought the bear packer game was incredibly entertaining like most of the playoffs have been this year. I will say I thought overall Johnson did most things correctly this year but his speech after the game was uncalled for and super low. Never would of happened if Virginia was still alive. Yes she wanted to beat the Packers but she had class and wouldn't have let that fly.

There are bad eggs everywhere you go, I find most people are pretty nice up here, sure some feel entitled, but those are not the people I am friends with. Illinois people support our economy up here as well as people from Wisconsin and other places. As far as snowmobilers, just stay on the right side of the trail and don't scare the crap out of people with your'e crazy driving no matter how good a driver you are. Had a group of 6 run my buddy off the trail in a turn. They did however turn around and help us dig it out and get it back on the trail, no one hurt, no damage, just slow down please.

Yes, good & bad everywhere.
When I worked in Three Lakes, some seemed to feel entitled because the had good paying Chicago white collar jobs. The next guy in line would be great.

Time is said to heal all wounds but it has also made life fast & impersonal.

Vilas county trails were nuts Friday afternoon thru Saturday night, I usually stayed home. Rode Sunday, Tuesday & Thursdays.
