I have used wiseco pistons in a number of rebuilds with good results. You must set up the piston clearance according to the manufactures specification. Stock cat pistons are fine also. I usually go by availability when deciding which one to go with. Good luck

if you are boring the cyl. oversize, the weisco needs more clearance than the OEM. I have used Weisco in the past, but will go with OEM, unless the oversize needed is not available. I also have used other aftermarket pistons, but try to stay with OEM style. Once you switch to Wiesco, you have to run weisco. If you blow one, you can't just replace that one with an OEM, it will be out of balance as the wiesco's are generally lighter. So if you are in an emergency situation, and only OEM is available (like to rescue a week long trip, when it blows on the first day) you will have to order the wiesco, and wait a few days to get it. The OEM might be in stock, and your back on the trail.

See if there are OEM replacement pistons, like from pro-x or another company. They are oem style and fit, so the oem rings and bearing etc all fit them. Yes, suzuki pistons are expensive, but so are OE ski doo. Try pricing out a Yamaha 4 stroke piston kit!
