4 played a great game he played through the pain limping along and still diving for the ball after AP dropped a ball set in his butter fingers.the interception would not have had happened if 4 was not forced to make something happen because of 3 dropped balls and bad coaching sending extra guys to the huddle.the vikes moved the ball better but beat themselves AGAIN

well said!so many would like to blame old number 4!!!not his fault, AP droped balls, bad ref calls, hitting below the knee and no calls ***?was that? 12 men in the huddle--nice job childress....

WOW!

Going to bed last night, I chuckled to myself,.... wondering "Geez,.. I wonder what
the Threads will say about THIS (the game) tomorrow."
Numerous Threads discussing the same stuff,... interesting!

All Year Long,.... I loved reading all the "Razzing" going on,.... (even if some of it DID get out of hand),....

I have Way to many friends in Minnesota,... to get into any "pizzing match" over Who's
team is better,... Who's sled is faster,.... My daddy can beat up Your daddy,...ect.,....

WOW,.... What a game. After its conclusion,.. I was flipping between "sports channels",....
to watch the "reactions of BOTH teams",... Man, this is what football is all about.
I guess Chris (Boomer) Berman of ESPN said it best,... For the Vikings fans,... This is a
bitter pill to swallow,... and will be hard to "get over" for a Very Long time.
My thoughts initially were,... "Holy Cow! How Ironic,....My Viking Friends have to Feel EXACTLY how the Packers fans did after the NFC Championship Loss to the Giants"
almost the Exact scenerio and result.
Weird. Like the Saints had someone making this happen. The Vikes totally outplayed the
Saints. And those turnovers were so odd,.. it seemed as if a ghost where there, knocking
the ball away. Unreal.
Since the beginning of the game looked like it was going to be an Arena Football shoot-out,.... I was then Hoping it would be so close and high scoring (like the Packers/Cardinals) game, it was getting exciting! But Man,.... did Brett get the Crap beat out of him.
PLEASE, lets quit the Mike McCarthy/Ted Thompson saga.
What is done is DONE. Just like back when Packers picked up the "then" Hated Jim McMahon,....(and he got his 2nd SuperBowl ring with the Pack)
The Game is a business. Brett did what HE had to do ect.,.....
Despite the outcome,....
He gave it all for the Vikings. Came up short. WHAT A SEASON!
The thing that will sting the most for the Vikings,... is that you fans have waited so fricking long to win it all. We All know how hard it is to even Get to the NFC Championship,...let alone win a Superbowl. That has to be the part that stings the most.
How Brett can even "walk" today,.... will be a wonder,...No matter WHAT age he is.
OUCH!
The way the Vikes played (minus those weird turnovers),... I would have given THEM the
upper hand in Winning the big game against the Colts.
Chilly was right. The better team did not win this day.
That's why they play the game.
Horrible feeling isn't it?

Lets trade our Cheeseheads and Helga Helmets for some Snowmobile helmets,....
and THINK * SNOW!
THAT is something EVERYONE can agree on!

)

Favre is way more of a player than any other in this league. I would say that Adrian Peterson bites it. but the biggest wiener biter is Brad Childress! The main thing is that the Vikes got to the NFC championship unlike the Quackers!

The Viking curse lives even with Favre. WORLD Champion Green Bay Packers!

5 turnovers. They still just about won. Before the game Howie Long said that the Vikes were the better team but the Saints would win. That is about how it turned out. They never would have been in the NFC Championship without Favre. He took a beating. My hat is off to him. If AP would not have put it on the ground so early and often perhaps Favre would not have had to endure such treatment. They should have won 38 - 14. But they didn't. I hope Brett comes back next year. The Vikes will need him to keep up with the Pack which is going to be tough next year. Finally - The NFC North will be a division to be reckoned with once again. Go Saints in Miami.

Favre

He got us there, then gave it away. Let's face it too many turnovers, but at the point they could have made it happen anyway, one person gave the ball to the Saints to seal the deal! Just like with the pack. They should have just kicked the field goal instead of goin for glory! I'm am not a fan of football really, but I told my wife they should just go for the kick or they will throw it away, and they did. Bummer.

It was well played, well coached game. Thanks to Farve for getting us this far.

Just like '98 the Vikes beat themselves. We dont need no stinkin trophy case!

The best part all the Vikes/Farve haters will love is now we have to deal with Farve's wishy washy decision to return next year!

wishy washy decision ? You need to talk to Bart Faverys daughter she helped him make his decision last year. or was that the year before? or the year before that ? Guess one of us is getting old, think its me.

Black and Blue??

Brett could take a European trip for a month and still return black and blue. You gotta hand it to the gent, He is one tough human being takeing that beating last night. Anf for all you Packer fans, forget it. He'll be in the purple uniform Sept.2010.He doesn't know how to quit.

That is Paul Allen, I like him. I like a "homer" for a HOME TEAM announcer. He was merely portraying ALL Vikings fans assertion of the play.

Actually, what really happened, remember when Packers offered Brett millions not to play? Behind the scenes he took the offer and they sent him undercover to Minnesota as a spy and make sure they didn't make the Super Bowl. Worked brilliantly! :) LMAO

Hehehe, you guys are funny. There's a great article in the StarTribune of the Twin Cities (Add your .com to that) and all I can say is, I agree.
